My boyfriend and I booked a 2 night stay at Terra Solis with the promise of a relaxing desert retreat with opportunities for star gazing at night. In reality it’s just off the side of the freeway— you can see and hear the cars whizzing by from your tent, and there’s still so much light pollution we counted about 12 visible stars on a cloudless night. There was also no hot water in the communal showers, and the camp signage was so dimly lit that we were awoken twice in a single night by strangers entering our tent who had mistaken it for their own! We were also disappointed by the pool, which is the only form of daytime entertainment: you’re in a valley, so excessive wind makes it cold, yet the pool is not heated. Poolside service is only available in a small seating section, so you’ll need to arrive early to get a spot if you want to order food or drinks. They’re also always out of almost everything: cigarettes, shisha, and various food menu items. Speaking of food and service, also quite lackluster: restaurant was pricey, which is to be expected, but the food was served cold and took about 40 minutes to arrive, which was especially frustrating as staff had prepared us the wrong dishes due to some sort of confusion on their end (we paid 455 AED for this meal, with no comp or restitution offered). Luckily, Talabat delivers there, so we opted for take out for the duration of our stay. One unfortunate evening, we forgot to request utensils in our delivery order, so we asked reception to bring utensils to the room, and it took them, no joke, 57 minutes, by which point we had eaten the entire meal with our hands. A staff member mentioned that they’ll be permanently closing after January 31st, and I all I can say is, I can see why.

I had an enjoyable night at terra solis with my husband Would recommend much for relaxation ! Would prefer more resturants with more choice of food and more facilities entertainments
