    Te Weheka was the perfect choice for a stay in Fox Glacier, away from the hubbub of Franz Josef. We could walk to the restaurants in town, as well as our pick-up point for a helicopter ride to the glaciers. A couple tiny downsides: 1) room smelled funky when we checked in, and we couldn't adjust the thermostat (very warm) 2) all the restaurants were so crowded one evening for dinner that we ended up having to drive to Franz Josef anyway in order to get something to eat. All that said, if you want a comfy getaway that's quiet and more reserved, this is it. Friendly staff, fantastic lounge space, laundry available, comfy room. Thumbs up.

    The location is perfect and the rooms were clean and modern. What I did not like was the view from the 1st florr, the bed was a little bit uncomfortable, room was hot like an oven (keeping wIndow open and the room was full of mosquitoes), and on the first morning the breakfast (becon, eggd, tomato) was burnt, and even on the second morning the breakfast wad not burnt so badly, I cannot recommend to have breakfast there.
