Loved my stay at the clean Takt_Jongno capsule hotel. The hotel is central, peaceful, airy and has a great supply of typical daily necessities (ear plugs, fresh towels, face wash, shower towel, lotion, and others). Try it out!

The hostel does look nice and futuristic. However, some downsides cant be ignored. First, noise. I had an upper bed, and the ventilation is right outside the curtain, noise 24/7. The hostel does provide ear plugs but that didn’t help with my poor sleep. I stayed for five nights, and my sleep was very light. Second, lack of basic service. They only provided me clean bath towel for two nights, very disappointing. The first two nights, they would leave a clean towel on my bed before I come back at night. Then it stopped. The next three nights I had to take clean towels from beds without being assigned. I did communicate with the hostel and they were okay for me to do so, however, the service didnt improve. Third, cleaning. They only clean the hostel once a day, between 11am and 1pm. The hostel might look very clean upon check-in in the afternoon, but it would be messy and dirty at night and morning due to high volume of travelers. It is a budget place which i understand, but I don’t think sleep quality, adequate service a clean communal space should be compromised.
