We recently stayed at T Shine Resort and Spa in Suba‑Basbas, Mactan. The property is modern and family‑friendly, with clean rooms and a well‑maintained pool area. Staff were warm, quick, and attentive — from the front desk to the security guards, and their versatile all‑around team across the property. The rooftop bar is a standout — perfect for catching the sunset and enjoying the city lights at night. Families will appreciate the dedicated kids’ playroom, which even has a mini‑library stocked with Korean books. The pool location is well‑thought‑out: shaded by the building until noon for daytime swims, and well‑lit at night for a relaxing dip. The main pool is complemented by two round, jacuzzi‑sized corner sections, adding variety to the swimming experience. The breakfast buffet is filling, offering mini versions of popular local bread, a few Korean dishes, and Filipino‑style preparations of globally popular dishes that showcase local flavors. The in‑room TV can be a little difficult to operate since the brand and on‑screen language are in Korean, with not much in the way of instructions — expect a bit of trial and error. The shower also involves some trial and error to get your desired temperature, and the soap gel wasn’t refilled before we checked in, running out shortly after. On the plus side, the Wi‑Fi is fast and reliable, which made our stay more convenient. Our kids enjoyed the stay so much that when asked if they’d want to go back, they answered “Yes.” The Kid Zone is definitely a plus. If we could suggest a few improvements, it would be an extra couch or sofa, a bigger table, and a way to prevent small insects from floating in the round corner sections of the pool. Parking is currently across the property, but it would be more convenient if some spots could be made closer in the future. We were also somewhat disappointed that our special requests didn’t seem to be read or acted upon — especially the honeymoon setup we requested for our anniversary. Guests should also be aware that charges for broken items, stained sheets, or similar issues can be a lot more than their actual value, so extra care is needed during the stay. For locals dreaming of a vacation to Korea but only able to afford a staycation, T Shine is a fun alternative. The vibe has a touch of Korean influence, and you’ll meet plenty of Korean guests here. Overall, it was a nice experience for us — a solid choice for families or couples looking for a relaxing stay close to the airport, with strong amenities and attentive service.

The hotel is good, has a pool, a spa and a restaurant, but its not well positioned and you need to grab a taxi to get to the closest shops. Also, re room smell mouldy and full of mosquitos. my girlfriend has been eaten alive by mosquitos and I am not jocking, she got up the following day with more then 50 mosquito bites!
