    When I arrived the hotel in the evening, I was told by the staff I have two bookings: 1975762598 and 1984983163. The latter one was the one I saw at my agoda account. The second one was not shown in the account. Please check and update me what is wrong?

    Stayed at Swissotel Guangzhou for a week. Overall rooms are clean and spacious, front desk service is good as well. Although the location is further from the city centre, it’s a benefit because the area is quieter. However, there were instances where expectations fell short. Room wifi disappeared/slowed down halfway through our stay. The breakfast spread was good but lack diversity and everyday was repetitive. Most disappointing was the gym and swimming pool facilities. These facilities are run by external vendor (WEIDISI) which means public who has membership can access these facilities in the hotel, making the facilities crowded which lacked the 5 star hotel privacy and exclusiveness. The swimming pool is housed inside a white tentage which is completely different from the pictures online. It’s more of an indoor competition lap pool than a hotel pool. I believe they conduct swim lessons for members at the pool too (from the advertisements they put up at the entrance of the pool) which just degrades the hotel reputation. I have seen multiple families coming in their swimwear or swim floats just to use the pool. Basement gym has smoke smell as if people smoked there. Level 3 also has a gym but have external vendor staff. I went to take a look where the staff greeted me enthusiastically but their attitude changed for the worse once they knew I was a hotel guest. Spoke to the duty manager when checking out. Hopefully the feedback is received by management and the experience can improve in future. Overall decent experience for a normal hotel but disappointing for a 5 Star Hotel standard.
