1. Check in rep Sonjeep proves to be rude, unethical, unprofessional, disrespectful, invasive, careless, inconsiderate, irrational; has no training nor experience in the hospitality industry (which is what the hotel industry IS).
A. Instead of a warmWelcome upon guests arrival 2the Radisson front desk (since there's a sign on the front desk of the Surface Boutique Hotel and u have 2go on a search through a connected lobby of some sorts 2find a staffed front desk); he instead frowns and yells n your face asking u what you are looking for despite you walking up with rolling suitcase and cellphone. He fails 2properly greet guests with "Good afternoon/morning/evening. Welcome. Checking in?"
B. He asks invasive nosy questions during check in (that r none of business). Amongst his other inappropriate banter; there's "Where r u from?", along with what you do 4work,where do you live, do u plan onMoving from where u currently live, including inappropriate comments after you go ahead & respond - instead of him focusing onThe check in & making guests welcome & providing excellent customer service which includes room & amenities, hotel info & offerings including what's where. Along with a kind pleasant demeanor, smile.
C. He puts your key card on the counter instead of in your hand. Worse; he placed my I.D on counter instead of respectfully placing it back into my hand, That's belittling, insulting, shows disrespect (as if you are less than). Not2 mention the dust, dirt, germs on counter's.
D. He fails2 inform guests that the hotel is falsely advertising; despite all of their photo's (on their website & on travel website's) displaying a microwave & mini-fridge, not all of the rooms r stocked with these 2 amenities.
E. When I discovered that & informed him; instead of him demonstrating customer service/hospitality; he lied sayingThe only option is 2switch rooms, when he shld have apologized on behalf ofThe hotel & then offer the guest a microwave 2b cleaned & brought.
2. B4 I booked, I called the Surface Boutique Hotel so that I cld ask a few questions. But upon calling several times the onlyPhone number that they have onTheir website & on others; the line repeatedlyHangs up without ringing.
3. I spent an hour usingMy disinfectant wipes 2clean up after their housekeeping staff, who left the coffee maker tray dirty & used from their last guest (2 bare straws sliding arnd on it, 1 coffee packet, no condiments, 1 cup, 1 tea bag. They left 1 hand towel, 2 bath towels, scum on mirror, wall & counter bottles, shower doors. The 2 bottles on counter were empty as well (hand soap and lotion). Dirty iron & stained ironing board. Particles & dust & dirt on surfaces/floors/air conditioner/heat controller, fridge. I also had 2clean & disinfect the shelves & sink, shower, sink counter, & toilet; b4 I unpacked my luggage. Yet, Sonjeep verbally made fun of me when during check in, when I happened 2mention the importance of room cleanliness. Then he decided2 spew an insult of telling me not2 stain towels or I'll b charged $100; as if it's not common sense NOT to stain towels, or to say "you're dirt or careless".
4. A housekeeper that I happened 2see the next day; per my request kindly inquired with maintenance then she brought me a microwave within 30 minutes, afterBringing the 2 blankets needed 2make the bed comfortable 2lay on (as the mattresses r not firm/supportive,nor r they pillow top).
5. They have nats flying on & around the cups & sticky stained complimentary coffee furnaces n the lobby; instead of wiping them with disinfectant wipes.
6. Sink water takes long time 2get hot.
7. I noticed at check n that the breakfast rm has as sign on it that says that guests r prohibited from bringing their chosen breakfast items 2the room. Thats petty, insulting, disrespectful, inconsiderate, unnecessary, belittling, unethical, baseless, irrational. I don't know what is provided; but I wont b wasting my valuable time going down there.
