We arrived dinner time, receptionist on duty is Corey, from the beginning he was rude and unacommodating to us since we’re Asians, specifically Filipinos. He was eating pizza and didn’t even wiped his hands before getting my passport, and during the process of check-in he was always on his phone. The next night, we requested for assistance since there’s no more parking slot available when we arrived, same experience my friends complained, he was rude and does not even want to assist, ended up parking our vehicle in the middle of the drive way. It’s not the case when we see him interact with other hotel guests that are “White”, he’s friendly with them. On the cleanliness of the room, when we arrived there’s a small used spoon in the floor, we didn’t touch it to see when they clean the next time if they will really clean it, turns out, no, it’s still in the same spot until we checked-out. They didn’t even replace the tissue paper.

Pretty good place with a really good location—just a few blocks from the Hollywood Walk of Fame, Runyon Canyon, and other attractions. Everything is close by. The room was okay, but there was a bit of a smell, so we had to ventilate the room every time we came back. The parking is pretty good, but it filled up quickly after sunset. Breakfast wasn’t bad—there were a lot of people, so maybe we should’ve come earlier.

My stay at this hotel was a mixed experience. On the positive side, the location is great—it’s close to Sunset Blvd in Hollywood, making it easy to walk to many restaurants and gyms. The hotel was recently remodeled, so everything looked nice and clean. However, being near Sunset Blvd also meant dealing with a lot of traffic noise. It was so loud at times that I could hear car accidents happening almost daily.
Service-wise, the front desk staff was somewhat helpful but only assisted when asked. For example, when I requested a towel, they told me to pick it up myself—even though I was in the shower and had to get dressed again just to retrieve it. Housekeeping was generally fine, but I occasionally found myself missing towels and had to request them from the front desk.
Communication was another challenge, as some staff members had limited English proficiency, making it difficult to ask for assistance. Parking was also an issue. The spaces were tight but manageable, though one night I returned at 2:30 AM to find all the spots taken. When I approached the front desk for help, the staff member was asleep. After waking him up, he told me I could park in the back—something I wasn’t even aware was an option. I asked if the area was gated for security, but he simply said no, which didn’t feel reassuring.
The hot water situation at night was frustrating. The water heater didn’t seem to be on, and I had to run the tap at the hottest setting for 15 minutes before even getting lukewarm water. When I called the front desk, they told me to “just wait” without offering any real solution.
Another inconvenience was the lack of a self-serve water dispenser. Instead, I had to knock on the front desk to ask for water from behind the counter. When I requested slightly warm water, the staff seemed confused and unwilling to help. I even suggested mixing hot and cold water, but they didn’t seem to prioritize this simple request.
One highlight of my stay was the breakfast. It was comprehensive and included protein options like sausage and bacon, as well as different styles of eggs—scrambled and cheese omelets. I especially enjoyed the waffle maker station, which was fun and easy to use.
That said, not all of the staff were unhelpful. On my last day, the woman at the front desk was much friendlier and more attentive. I appreciated her smile and genuine willingness to assist—something I wish had been consistent throughout my stay.
Overall, this hotel has potential with its great location and recent remodel, but the service issues, loud traffic noise, and basic inconveniences like hot water and parking made my stay less enjoyable than I had hoped.
