Sunrock Condo Hotel

I stayed at the Sunrock for a wedding at The Cape. There are multiple buildings all the way up the road and I got put into one of the last up the street. It's a bit of a walk down to the beach. A few things were in need of repair (lights, kitchen items) and they didn't provide any paper towel or soap or a sponge to clean dishes. Not a big deal as you're likely eating out. Still decent value for the price.

We have been coming to Cabo regularly for about 4years. We had stay at Sunrock many times. The accommodations are good if you want a no frills but clean room. Kitchen is clean with coffee maker,toaster and blender,few dishes and utensils. Services were attentive to our needs. Good place to stay if you want to save money.

There were repeated issues with the hot water in the showers (maintenance worker was called almost every night). The hot water heaters turn off if there is no hot water flowing out of the heater, but they do not always automatically turn back on even after the showers have been running. We also had an issue where water coming into the toilet stopped completely. The maintenance workers fixed this by visiting the apartment above us. I was charged an extra $30 USD for “taxes and fees”, even though Agoda stated that all taxes were included in the payment. The check-in time on our Agoda booking was listed as 03:00am, which apparently was a typo. We had to wait several hours before we could check-in. We were allowed to check in about an hour early because the waiting area was starting to fill up. The hotel does not offer free bottled water daily; it must be purchased. The room service did not change the towels every night; we had to go to the front desk to get the towels. On our last night, they had no bath towels or face towels, only hand towels. We liked the location. The views and the beach are nice. Some folks may prefer to be closer to town, since most of the activities (parasailing, jet skiing, etc) are located there. We took Ubers to Cabo San Lucas or Cabo San Jose every day. The on-site restaurant is rated highly on *** . It is OK, but not deserving of its 4.8 rating. The sofas are a little grungy. On the other hand, the rooms in the apartment are large and clean. We would rate this hotel a little higher if there had not been so many issues with water and towels.
