    The photos and reviews convinced me that this would be an affordable option for my son and I to stay at during our visit to Toronto. I'm not sure where the people leaving 5 star reviews have stayed in the past to find this place 5 stars, but there is no way this room is even worth 1 star. I actually started writing this review while in the room at 2:45 am as I was unable to sleep due to the other, inconsiderate guests talking, banging doors, and repeatedly going in and out of the bathroom. Also, the stench of mold or mildew is so pungent, it was actually burning our lungs and immediately gave me a headache. If we had the ability, I would have left and found somewhere else to stay. I'm not even sure how this house can operate as a legal B & B. The outlet next to the bed is barely attached to the wall, the bathroom is disgusting, the throw pillows on the couch are stained along with the couch cushions. I booked a room with a bed and a pull out couch for myself and my 17 year old son, which was stated in the booking. When we opened the pull out, there was no bedding on it so I guess in the host's mind, we were just supposed to share the double bed. There were no smoke detectors or carbon monoxide detectors other than the smoke detector in the hallway that was beeping. We honestly could not wait to get out of there and didn't even be bother with whatever they offered for breakfast as there is no way we would even eat there. We did look in the kitchenette to see if perhaps there was something packaged we could take with us on the way out, but there didn't appear to be anything on the table or counter and at that point I wasn't about to go rummaging around the cupboards to find something. Any other B&B I've stayed at in the past has had sit down service or at the minimum, a continental breakfast laid out to eat at your own leisure. I did take pictures of the mildew covered shower in the communal bathroom, the unsecured outlet as well as the light fixture that was hanging askew with only 2 of the 5 bulbs lit in it, but they won't upload. So very disappointed with this experience. Hopefully I can get a refund or at least a discount.
