    Don't expect anything amazing, this is an inexpensive place to stay and it is good value, but it is not fancy and does not have a huge amount of facilities. The room was a bit old and tired, fraying carpet edges, etc. but it was clean, had tea/coffee, hot water, and a bed that was pretty comfortable.

    The pricing is low end for a hotel with a private bathroom, and friends who live locally warned of a mediocre reputation, so my expectations were low. However, whilst the room was no frills, the fundamentals all worked well. The shower was excellent, though the deep bathtub to access it may be a challenge for some. The aircon worked well, though the fact that you need to ask hotel reception to change the settings or turn off is unusual. There were long hairs in the bathroom that definitely weren't mine, though at least the bedding and towels appeared clean. The place was quiet. I learnt that the place used to be a tax office, and that may explain the table and chairs that were reminiscent of my student days. As my usual hotel was fully booked, this wasn't the house of horrors I was fearing. The decor is tired, the notices in the corridors are indicative of the clientele, so it needs perspective, so it would only be a last resort for me should there be no alternative in the future.
