Overall, great experience. Hotel was an older property, but very well taken care of. Hotel staff were very personable and attentive. Would definitely stay here again.

This is a charming place very close to the waterfront in Kilkee. The place is very tidy and we enjoyed our breakfast very much. Highly recommended!

Bought this overnight trip as a treat for my parents and daughter for 2 nights. On first night they had trouble falling asleep and were woken very early due to loud noise coming from outside room. When they went down and complained next morning, a manager said she would investigate and get back to them. She never got back to them with any explanation so I had to go down and ask again if anyone could investigate and was told the noise is a kitchen fan and it has to stay on until late at night so there is nothing that could be done. We were told noise is loudest in rooms 4 and 17 as they were over kitchen and my parents were in 17-typical. I had booked a third night but when my parents asked about a room change, they were told they were all sold out, yet when I went online to check there was one available!!! I questioned the lady at reception and she said it’s a bigger room so they can have it if I pay the difference, despite them having such a bad experience the first night she still expected more money!!! I mentioned how the customer is always right and how we were right about the noise and there being a different room to move to, and she FREAKED out saying the customer is not always right and throwing her eyes up at me, a paying customer!!! Finished by telling me she is the owner and told me that my parents have 30 minutes to decide if they want the room or she will be cancelling it. My parents ended up cancelling it and I will say I have never experienced such bad hospitality from an ‘owner’. Definitely not suitable for those with young kids as the noise was very loud and would keep them from sleeping. Parents said breakfast was lovely so no complaints on that, just the staff and loud noise/lack of assistance
