Fantastic stay and lovely staff

Such a wonderful hotel. We stayed in one of the Appartments which was great. Fantastic restaurant and the best spa we have ever been to. Can’t wait to return.

What an absolute joy to stay here, first time experience but will definitely be back. All staff were a pleasure to deal with and location, location, location being simply stunning

Booked very last minute and paid a premium to stay in what I thought would be a luxury spa retreat.  We had wanted to try the spa after seeing the recent refit pictures on their website. The reception staff on arrival were lovely but we weren't told of breakfast times or facilities. The room was in the eaves with a small balcony with sea views. The chairs and balcony itself were full of cobwebs. The room was small and had a very odd layout. The tea trolley was nowhere near a plug point so the kettle had to be put on the floor. We kept banging our head getting into bed and the room was very hot so we had to keep the door open and listen to the seagulls squawking all night. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom has seen better days and was not very spacious. Breakfast on Sunday was hectic and staff seemed stressed because there were no bowls, milk jugs and they were running out of food in the self service area.  Monday morning was better but disjointed and inconsistent. We were expecting better from this standard of hotel that charges stupid money per night stay. The spa was as expected, lovely. The service let it down.  On arrival we went to book and the receptionist was disinterested, short at times and we gained no knowledge of facilities or treatments. The young lady who showed us around on Sunday did not engage at all. We had to search for the showers on Monday, wanting to change because we had checked out. The changing room is on a different floor to the showers. We expected better because the hotel has a great reputation and charges a premium, which we presume is for the view. We saw lovely cottages on the seafront and above with full sea views which are far better value than here, some have hot tubs too. If I hadn't have been booking last minute I would have booked somewhere else.
