Spice Ella

We booked this hotel in Ella as it was advertised on the main strip near attractions. We arrived to a building site and were walked through a construction site to our room. When we complained, we were told this was “all on site” despite nothing about this being shown when I booked. A email post booking about “kitchen renovation” does not cover this. The room was poor — windows wouldn’t shut, bathroom was unclean, just one tiny soap bar and no amenities. For what we paid it was a joke. The only good thing was one staff member who was genuinely kind and tried to get us a refund for the last 2 nights. But my son fell ill so we had to stay. I spent our first morning in Ella on the phone trying to find another hotel instead of enjoying our holiday. We’re so disappointed this was allowed to be advertised !!

When I go to have my breakfast, they’re still available seats in the hall, but they forced me to sit at the corridor which is in front of the door Because I am an Asian and they forced me not to eat with the white and other tourist

This was honestly one of the worst hotel experiences I've had. Upon arrival, we discovered ongoing construction, which was never disclosed to us before booking. The constant disturbance ruined any chance of a comfortable stay. The room was dirty and had a strong, unpleasant smell. To make matters worse, no housekeeping service was provided at all during our stay, which is unacceptable for any hotel. The bathroom was in terrible condition, with visible mold, clearly showing a lack of proper cleaning and maintenance. It felt unhygienic and uncomfortable to even use. Although the room was advertised as a "Deluxe Double Room," the size was extremely small- nothing close to what was promised in the listing. The descriptior misleading and disappointing. Overall, this hotel was poorly managed, unhygienic, and not honest about its conditions. The stay was stressful rather than relaxing and absolutely not worth the money. I would strongly advise others to avoid this place.

Unfortunately, our stay was disappointing due to ongoing renovation work at the hotel. There was constant noise throughout the day, making it difficult to relax. Most of the hotel’s facilities were inaccessible, including the terrace restaurant and other common areas. Guests were limited to using their rooms only. We were not informed about these renovations before booking, which significantly affected our overall experience. I would recommend confirming the renovation status before making a reservation.
