    Host was so kind and attentive. Breakfast was delicious and so meticulously prepared. The view was also unbeatable! Only con was that the shower water was cold.

    Luxury not. Pictures are deceiving because you will be shocked. Staff attitude is appalling. Pay more and enjoy the other hotels around. Good location though.

    Two things: don’t confuse the location with the hotel itself. The location is exceptional, with a magnificent view over the caldera, just like all the hotels along this path. Now, let’s talk about the hotel. It is located directly on the Thira–Oia walking path. If you book the cheapest room (which is not shown in the photos on the website — and for good reason!), you will get a tiny room with just a bed. There is no room for a table, so it is placed outside: a plank of wood right on the very busy path, with all the tourists walking between your “table” and your bed. And on top of that, the room is partly underground. €150 for what amounts to a garage is outrageous! The first-floor room looks very beautiful at first glance. But everything is old and poorly maintained. Long hairs from previous guests were stuck to the shower wall, paint and plaster are peeling off, and they have tried to cover things up with a coat of white paint — but they didn’t even paint the whole wall, just part of it, so you can clearly see the difference between the newer white and the old, yellowed white in the shower. The “jacuzzi” has been patched up but doesn’t work. Breakfast is nothing special. Having stayed in many hotels and B&Bs, including during this trip to Athens, Serifos, Sifnos and Santorini, this hotel was by far our worst experience of the entire trip. In the end, I preferred to lose one night’s payment and move to another hotel, and I have absolutely no regrets. €150 for the “garage” and €350 for the first-floor room — the price is absolutely not justified by the level of accommodation this hotel claims to offer. Stay somewhere else!
