    I was a big fan of Selina. I really looked forward to staying here. However, my staying at Selina San Jose was ended sad & bad experience at the check out day. I had a terrible experience because one of kitchen staff yelled at me & was being mean to me. The experience started beacause I asked him the estimation of breakfast serving time. Then we had misunderstanding from language reason. It was so small thing. However, when I tried to communicate with him to see the situation again, this kitchen staff suddenly yalled at me. It made me confused, so I went to talk to the receptionist. (She was very nice and professional) However, the kitchen staff got mad at me talking to her. So he came up to me and yalled at me again in public. I tried to explain & talk to him. But he just went back to the kitchen & hide from me. Then he continued shouting something... To be honest, this kitchen staff was not nice to me from the beginning. When I came up to him first time, he didn't listen to me or communicate with me. He passed me Spanish menu after we talked in English. I saw he was very friendly & nice to people who speak Spanish or not Asian. I reported to Hotel contact window about this experience. They said they will escalate it to their management & investigate it. However, after 1 week, I haven't recived any update. So I was quite disappointed. I still like Selina but not sure I'll stay at Selina San Jose.

    A lot of activitys and tasty food what they offer, makes the value that good. The private room was pretty tiny for two big bags, but we could arrange it. Clean, good organized, welcome drink, danceclass, a short massage you could get... We felt good and would recommend a stay

    I stayed in a private room for two nights. The room itself was fine, but there was a lot of noise from the common areas from people talking past midnight—there seems to be poor sound insulation throughout. Additionally, the surrounding area is pretty much totally dead at night. Next time I would stay somewhere with more of a neighborhood feel. I didn’t feel safe walking around the property after dark, even within a few blocks.
