When we checked in, we were told that valet parking was the only option because the hotel does not own the lower levels of the building. The front desk rep said to call from the room and provide the last four digits of the valet ticket to have the car brought around. The first day, we waited 20 minutes for the car and then went to the valet stand to inquire. They said they weren't informed. The second day, we waited again. There was nobody at the valet stand for quite a while. When we finally found somebody, they said the car wouldn't be brought around unless we came down and submitted the ticket. Both times, we inquired at the front desk, and they said the process was to call. The third day, we just went down and requested the car. The location of the hotel is not bad in relation to Mall of the Emirates and JBR. However, the building is undergoing a lot of construction, and the area is very congested. It is also awkward because to get to the hotel, you have to drive up six levels of parking in a roundabout fashion - quite dizzy-inducing. There is no other entry or exit into the hotel area. The room was clean, but it was not pragmatically designed. The bathroom is open-concept, which is okay for a couple. However, we couldn't imagine a family or two friends sharing a room in this manner. The AC was also not the greatest. The lowest it would go was 20°C, but the room never got cooler than 20.5°C - even at night with the room-darkening curtains drawn. Additionally, the lighting in the room was on some kind of weird timer-movement system. The lights would randomly shut off when we were sitting in the room, and if the door was opened, the overhead lights would go out and leave the ambient lighting on. This was not related to putting a key in an access panel. It was very odd and not controllable. The bathroom lights, however, were controlled by a wall panel next to the bathroom area, and they had to be turned off manually instead of using the bedside control panel - that is, unless they randomly shut off with the rest of the room lights. The bed was also quite hard, and the pillows held no shape and were virtually useless. Finally, while the interior design is modern and clean, and the breakfast was pretty good, the structure of the hotel is weird with little to do without having to leave the premises and go into the city. To get up to the rooms, guests take the elevator to the 34rd floor, transfer to a different elevator, and use their room key to go to the room floors. When coming down, a security guard often taps the lower level elevator for you, but there are only two options: 6 or 7. Sometimes they push the wrong floor, and there is no option to choose inside the initial transfer life. Overall, the stay was fine. The valet issue was a mild inconvenience that can be chalked up to poor communication among departments. The lack of amenities will probably be addressed once the building becomes more occupied in the lower areas. The breakfast was pretty good, so I'm sure the dinner is also of similar quality. One major aspect that was impressive - construction was happening from the ground up to the fifth level all day and night. However, you would never know it from inside the hotel. If we hadn't seen the scaffolding and cranes outside the window and the crew down below, there would have been no indication whatsoever. The sound was absolutely unnoticeable.

Disappointing experience for a 5-star hotel – Would not recommendI had a bad stay at this hotel due to several issues, which is unacceptable for a 5 star property. First, the blankets in the room were not clean. Second, the reception staff takes a very long time to help or solve any problems. To make things worse, the sink drain hole was clogged and wouldn’t pull the water off. Even after reporting this, nobody came to help. Poor service and lack of cleanliness for this rating.
