Hotel gave me a free room update in return for a review. I'm reviewing the huge room upgrade.
Bed: hard and good for bad back; good distance from the ground, so no awkward turning or crushing movements needed.
Kettle: is vailable from reception. Large size.
Aircon: sufficiently strong to clear out any smoke (if it happens)
Bedding: Non-allergic. I noticed the pillow had a new-pillow smell so I assumed the hotel went to the effort to wash it in a separate detergent.
Bathroom: spacious. Unfortunately was flooded after showering.
Water: Scalding hot, if needed. Was a nice shower.
Ants: Yes. I couldn't be bothered to use the bin properly. There was one small ant trail in the morning.
Atmosphere: Very quiet, even above the road. Non polluted even with window open (4th floor).
Location: Close to airport. It's a bit of a gauntlet walking there. through the traffic and lack of sidewalk Reception is extremely polluted. But once inside the lift, the atmospher is clean and fresh. Very minor smell of mould in the corridor; room smells good.
Sockets: Plenty available and internet was super fast. On the far bed (of two beds), the internet was still alive, although it was a huge room.
Floor: is hard tiles and would hurt my feet without slippers. That's obviously after my long walk to get to the hotel.
Shops: Winmart is 1 min away, and they were fully stocked up. There was also bread available directly across the street.
If the hotel got some spare cash, they should consider putting a sealed door way and aircon in reception. It's not a safe breathing zone.
