Skye Hotel Bangkok

After a pleasant stay, I decided to extend it a night. Yes, this was due to a change in my travel arrangements, but this property has a heart - and its heart is its people. The property itself also offers plenty, especially in terms of convenience. I also enjoyed the coffee and food on offer at its cafe, and as I remarked in an earlier post on agoda. the 2nd floor area that effused a classic Art Deco vibe. While the decor of my room looked a little "dated", it was perfectly fine for a comfortable stay. Indeed, I may well just stay there again on my next trio to Bangkok.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Skye Hotel and will likely return. Why? The hotel's location is excellent, particularly for anyone visiting Bumrungrad International Hospital. It is also conveniently located just a short complimentary shuttle ride—or a 8-10 minute walk—from Phloen Chit BTS station, making it ideal for getting around Bangkok. Coupled with its very reasonable room rates, the hotel offers good value for your money. Although my room showed its age in a few respects and featured an artistic depiction of the sun blazing above the headboard that may not appeal to every guest, it was clean, comfortable, appointed with all the amenities one expects, and included a small but charming balcony that I enjoyed. The only minor issue I encountered was that my internet connection occasionally seemed a little slow. That said, I cannot say with certainty whether this was due to the hotel's Wi-Fi or simply my laptop, so I mention it only in the interest of providing a balanced review. What truly distinguished Skye Hotel for me was its people. Every member of the staff I encountered was genuinely friendly, professional, and sincerely invested in ensuring that my stay was going well. More than once, staff members took the time to ask whether everything had met my expectations and whether there was anything I needed. That level of authentic hospitality is in many countries and big cities becoming increasingly rare and deserves recognition. I would also like to extend special thanks to the elegantly dressed and gracious restaurant hostess, whose warm welcome set the tone each morning; to the chef, who personally delivered my delicious and healthy spinach and egg-white omelette; and to the café for serving excellent coffee accompanied by a thoughtful card explaining the selected roast. It was a nice touch that reflected genuine attention to detail. An unexpected pleasure was the beautifully designed second-floor sitting area just outside the attractive dining room. Inspired by Art Deco design, it was both cozy and refined—a wonderful place to sit relax after a long day. If I were to offer one criticism, it would be that the hotel's exterior façade and reception area are somewhat understated and do not fully reflect the warmth and quality that await inside. Fortunately, first impressions quickly give way to an experience defined by attentive service, comfort, and genuine hospitality. At the risk of contributing to higher room rates through increased popularity, I can wholeheartedly recommend Skye Hotel to anyone seeking comfortable, affordable accommodation in central Bangkok, or visiting Bumrungrad. It may not be the newest property in the city, but it possesses something more important: heart. Combined with its excellent location, attentive staff, and outstanding value, that makes it a hotel I would happily choose again—and I wouldn't take the time to write this review were it not true. But of course, this is my perception of my stay. If you choose Skye Hotel, I hope it becomes yours , too.

ทำเลถือว่าไม่ดีไม่แย่ อยู่ในซอยลึกอยู่ แต่ห้องน้ำสกปรกมาก ไฟหัวเตียงติดข้างนึงไม่คิดข้างนึง ได้ผ้าเช็ดตัวขาดๆมา พนักงานต้อนรับไม่มีคนไทยเลย แต่บริการดีทั้งแม่บ้านและพนักงาน ตกแต่งดีตามภาพแต่เหมือนไม่ค่อยดูแล ถ้าดูแลจะดีกว่านี้ แต่นอนคืนนึงได้อยู่
