Silom Nara Hotel

The location is excellent, very convenient and close to Silom in Bangkok. It’s a great spot for getting around the city. The price is also very reasonable, offering good value for money. The facilities are simple but adequate for a comfortable stay. While items like toothbrush and toothpaste are not provided, this is manageable if you come prepared. The hotel is quiet and peaceful, which makes it a good place to relax. There are only a few staff members, but they are very friendly, helpful, and welcoming, providing good service despite the small team. Although there are no bellboys, the staff are always willing to assist when needed. One minor issue was the air conditioning in my room, which could use some maintenance as the cooling was not very strong. However, overall the stay was still comfortable.

We arrived in Thailand during one of its busiest and most vibrant seasons—Songkran—and this hotel absolutely delivered. The property is clean, modern, and spacious, with all the essentials thoughtfully provided. What I loved most is the location. Being right by Silom Road, it strikes the perfect balance: close enough to walk to the heart of the Songkran festivities, yet far enough to enjoy a peaceful and quiet stay away from the noise. Service was a true highlight of our stay. The lady at the front desk welcomed us with such a warm smile and even surprised us with a thoughtful Songkran kit—complete with a waterproof phone pouch, menthol inhaler, and a cute towelette. Another moment that really stood out was when we had a slight emergency in the middle of the night. The hotel’s caretaker was incredibly helpful and responsive, assisting us promptly and with genuine care. We truly appreciated that level of support—it made us feel safe and well taken care of. One helpful tip for future guests: this is not a typical hotel with a 24/7 front desk. They operate within specific hours, so it’s best to inform them in advance if you have late arrivals or special requests outside their operating window. If there’s one area for improvement, it would be the sink drainage, which was a bit slow. It wasn’t a deal breaker for me, but something future guests might notice. Overall, a fantastic stay—especially if you want to experience Songkran while still having a relaxing place to come back to.

For longer stays in the Silom area Silom Nara is an excellent choice. Walkable to all the shops and nightlife, two BTS stations, yet far enough away to be quiet and private. The hotel is small, so it feels relaxed. The rooms are spotless, and the facilities are very good. I stayed in a 1 bedroom with a small kitchen and seating area, which made my long stay very homey and comfortable. There is a small park outside on the klong which is nice to hang out in, and is surrounded by some good Chinese restaurants. Patpong and the Silom Complex are a 5 minute walk.

Simply the best. Affordable, comfortable, the best customer service, great location. Look no further. 10/10 would stay here again.
