Seaside Glass Villas

We stayed on a cloudy summer day, but the view from the glass villa was still breathtaking. We promised ourselves we'd come back on a sunny day, or perhaps during winter, to experience an entirely different landscape. The room is minimalist yet thoughtfully equipped with everything you need, including eating utensils, a Nespresso machine with coffee capsules, tea bags, and bathroom amenities. Despite its simple design, it feels quietly luxurious. One of the highlights is the roof blind, which you can open to enjoy the sky above, making it perfect for watching the Northern Lights during winter or simply taking in the midnight sky. The villa also overlooks Mansikkanokanranta, a peaceful waterfront that I imagine is even more beautiful on a bright, sunny day. Breakfast was decent, with a salad bar, fresh fruits, cold cuts, and an impressive variety of breads. The glass villas are conveniently located behind the SnowCastle365 building, so if you're staying for a few days, it's worth taking the time to visit the attraction as well. We also enjoyed a leisurely walk along Mansikkanokan Beach. The shoreline is quiet, peaceful, and incredibly relaxing, making it a wonderful place to slow down and appreciate the scenery. The staff were courteous, welcoming, and very approachable. I even had the chance to practice my Finnish after the receptionist noticed that I know some Finnish and I told her "Minä puhun vähän suomea," and she happily continued the conversation in Finnish. It's a bit far from the Kemi center, hence if you don't have a car, you can ride a taxi (15 euros per ride) or you can just walk if you have the stamina and you're only carrying a backpack.

Stayed for a night after our polar explorer cruise. The sunset was gorgeous. The breakfast was quite good too.
