Sea Escapes Resort

1000 baht deposit payable - not many hotels take deposits these days. Returned on check out, better to pay cash. Have to tell them for room cleaning (full clean) or message them if you just need supplies. Seems inconvenient. Supplies left outside the room so water was warm by the time we returned. Bring your own toothbrush/paste. Check out 11am - i really do not appreciate how a hotels inability to manage its resources effectively results in an inconvenience for the customer. No shower gel is provided - just one small bar of soap for 2 people, so 2 people moving between the sink and shower over multiple nights, another inconvenience. Recommend they should provide more soap or even better, shower gel. People playing bowls outside the room so not as relaxing as you would hope when sitting at the front of the room. Water is not always suitable for swimming as this is a windy part of the island. The water is far out in the morning but interesting to go and see wildlife of the sea! A few beach bars/restaurants along the beach but they seemed to be closed before 10. A few bars on the road 10-15 mins away but very right now. Overall, good value but could be improved! No tv in the room. Motorbike rental by the hotel demand a very deposit or retain your passport. Appreciate the free transfer from the ferry to hotel (return not included). Songthaews here are a complete rip off - be preparer to pay a lot to move around if you do not hire a motorbike. No grab here.

Nice and decent rooms, but we had ants in the bathroom and even after showing it to the staff it wasn't fixed properly. There is clothes washing and rent a bike near the hotel which is great. Unfortunately swimming pool water was extremely hot, and hardly any water in the sea during the day. So probably not the best part of island if you look for proper swim. There was a power cut for few hours but they entertained us with movie on the beach.

Beautiful resort, spacious room and bathroom and most importantly clean. The staff were lovely and pool was beautiful. We spent very little time at the resort as we were exploring the island however it is a little way out of town and transport (taxi) is costly and adds up if you don’t have a car

This place is paradise and ever is immaculate. The receptionist Fluke is a pure human with the kindest heart. Nothing is too much trouble for any one staff person and we had the most relaxing time here … this is definitely 100% a place I would recommend and we will return to … thank you for making our time here so special.
