It was a great stay at the Proper, loved the hotel and staff were super helpful.
Beware of hidden fees, they charge an extra $60USD per day for amenities.

First and foremost: The hotel and staff are wonderful, with beautiful design and very friendly people. The rooms are nice and clean, and the location is very good. I would personally prefer a room in the newer building, but also the rooms in the landmark building are nicely renovated.
The problem was rather with Agoda, who somehow managed to not reserve the room category (Premier King) that we had deliberately booked and paid for, but instead booked a room category that was several times lower than that. Only because of the very kind Manager of the hotel, named ***, we eventually got at nice room, although several categories below the one that we had paid for to Agoda, since the Premier King rooms were all occupied. We are still waiting for an answer from Agoda and expect a massive refund for all the stress and time that we have lost because of their mistake. Depending on what Agoda will come to make up for it, we will decide if we ever use Agoda again or not.
