    Great stay! The hostel was clean, comfortable, and in a convenient location. The staff were friendly and very helpful. I really enjoyed the atmosphere and would definitely come back!

    For reference, we were a group of 4 adults and we stayed in the corner room with two double beds. The location of this hotel was quite convenient. It was a short walk from the LRT and a slightly longer walk from the MRT, so it was always easy to hop on a train. Although there was not much for food or shopping in the immediate area, there was a 7-11 in the building which made for convenient late night snacks. The view of the city was pretty great, especially from our corner room. Our rooms were cleaned every day, which was nice. Having a mini-fridge and a kettle included in the room was also handy. In general, the room was tidy but worn (which I think is totally fair for the price). I would compare it to hostels I've stayed in where you can tell the space has some wear and tear from high-traffic use, but it's still a clean and comfortable bed to sleep in at night. It also was on the bigger side, so we had no problem moving around the room even with all our luggage spread out.

    We stayed at San Jo Hotel in Kaohsiung during New Year’s Eve, mainly for the convenience of being near the fireworks. Since it was a holiday, the price was quite expensive for an overnight stay. The room was very spacious, which we appreciated. However, cleanliness could definitely be improved, especially the throw pillows. Facilities were quite basic with not much to expect. The building itself has mixed reviews, but I personally still felt safe since there was police presence on the 12th floor, which helped ease concerns. That said, this particular hotel floor felt like the safest part of the building. The best part of the stay is really the location—it’s in a nice neighborhood near Kaohsiung Library, parks, and other walking spots, which we enjoyed a lot. Overall, good for location and convenience, but not for comfort or amenities.
