    Loved the calm and tranquility the place and it's surroundings had to offer. The Cordial staff, clean rooms, the riverside view right outside the balcony, and delicious food, added to the bucolic bliss we've expericed during our stay. Cheers Scared Groove.

    What I would say about this place is : Some places are beautiful. Some places have a vibe. And then there are places that feel like they’re hiding a secret. Sacred Grove is that place. Tucked into the wildness of Cherrapunjee, this resort doesn’t feel like a hotel we simply stay at — it felt like I’ve temporarily disappeared from civilization. The mist, the greenery, the silence, the rain, the river and the fog… everything has this slightly mysterious, almost otherworldly energy. My favorite part? The mood. You wake up surrounded by clouds, greenery and that unmistakable Meghalaya weather that makes you want to sit quietly and overthink your entire life. 😂 Would I call it polished luxury? Yes, but not just that. Would I call it an experience with character? Absolutely. And honestly, I’d take character over generic five-star perfection any day. The only downside is there is no signal or network or even wifi in the place which made challenging for me to connect to anyone. If that could be improved, this place is worth every penny. Loved it.

    We stayed in a total of 4 rooms, two mountainside, and two riverside. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, the toilet bathroom was spacious. Privacy is a big issue. Every room has a full length fixed glass window next to the door. While there is a translucent film across part of this window, the upper and lower portion is not covered, allowing anyone outside to see into the room. There is no way you can cover this. Total lack of privacy. In some rooms you can look at the bed from outside. Please be aware of this while booking.
