The construction noise (all day long and sometimes into the evening, well beyond 6pm) was nerve-wrecking!!! I complained and it doesn't seem like anything was done about it.
I get that the hotel is undergoing renovations, but hey, shut down until renovations are complete. You can't have guests staying there with concrete drilling, hammering, and the like going on. Or set aside certain days that it'll be extremely noisy and then adjust your rates to compensate for the lack of comfort your guests have to endure!!

The Indian clerk at the front desk must be there as some sort of placeholder. She didn't even bother to get out of her chair when guests had questions and for every question I ask, she had no answer. I don't if she's new, but she shouldn't be in that position without someone who's actually knowledgeable and isn't lazy. Her responses to inquires were always "please talk to someone here in the morning", pushing any and all complaints or inquires to the morning crew.

The room was nice, I’ll give it that much, but the advertised amenities (bar, pool, etc.) weren’t open, so those of us who chose this hotel over others because the bar and pool were definitively screwed over. The so-called breakfast was ridiculous with cold cereal, apples, and bagels. Housekeeping was atrocious and did a half-assed job. They never even changed my sheets during my week stay. Towels were stained too and even very damp
I give it a 2.5 of 5 and that’s because the room was spacious.
