Rooms for five adults are hard to find … this one is very well taken care off, clean , you cannot get anything like this for the price . I strongly recommend it !

We had the best stay at Randor Residence Kyoto Nijo Castle! The rooms are incredibly spacious and each room is unique with different traditional Japanese art painted upon the walls. We will definitely stay here again once we return to Kyoto! Thanks so much Randor Residence!

First the positive stuff. The room itself was nice. It had 2 toilets, a shower, a kitchen area and two beds. It’s with in 800 meters of a subway entrance that is an easy walk to get to.
Now the bad - The only way to get in is with a confirmation message the day of your arrival. Many families could not get into a room until late into the evening while they waited for a message with the access code. For travelers without a Japanese phone it's very difficult to get help.
My other complaint - the building has a smoking area INSIDE the building as soon as you enter. There's no way to avoid the awful smell of smoke. We had a "non-smoking room" but we could smell smoke all the time.
