Literally, the worst place we've stayed before. It smelled of mold so badly we couldn't even catch our breath in the first room. We moved, and that was only slightly better. The pillow my 7 year old laid his head on was covered with mold. The staff was rude! I wouldn't go there again, no matter what! Just horrible.

Good location and affordable price as well as friendly staff and owners with functional fridge & microwave, private bath with shower towels and soap.
Pretty soundproof separate rooms but sometimes you hear people moving in the hall. Staff starts cleaning around 8:40 am and breakfast ends around 9 am with banana waffle yogurt bread and coffee tea, so it’s good for people who want to wake up around 8:28 am.
The down side is some rooms might smell like Mold and could trigger lungs health hazard for some patients having weak lungs like bronchitis and athsma. Plus, the unreliable elevator sometimes might be in repair mode, so you must carry heavy items up the stairs carefully without damaging your spine ligament muscle tendons.
Other than that, the view of trees are peaceful and the location is safe!
Overall: 9.2/10 for solo male traveler to Galveston and Texas City oceanfront. enjoying fresh air meditation trip weekend getaway to learn grow and recharge our energy.
