    My 3 visit this year. Was the worst. Facility is rundown. Filthy carpets in the hallway. Equipment broken in the breakfast area. OJ machine didn’t work on this 3 night stay. Refrigerator didn’t work. I had room 319 for the 3rd stay. Must be the Black Guys room. Hole in the wall near the entrance door. Looks like a mouse hole so I stuff it with paper every visit. No room cleaning. Each day guy gave me fresh towels thru the door. No room refresh or additional soap / toilet paper. Vending machines had products but wasn’t working. My last visit for sure.

    So my husband and I were celebrating our 32nd wedding anniversary and decided to get a room with a hot tub. After looking for a while, I found this room with a hot tub and I wanted to book it, but I wanted to do it through the hotel not a third-party due to past experiences. I tried all night and no one at the hotel would answer the phone. Finally went ahead and booked it through the third-party, but sent my husband in the next day to double check that we have the room with the hot tub. The guy at the hotel did confirm we did have a room for two nights with the hot tub/Jacuzzi room. So we thought everything was going to be fine, but we were wrong. On arrival there was a sign on the desk saying someone would be back in 15 minutes, but didn’t say when the 15 minutes began or ended. After waiting for at least 10 minutes I did hit the bell and someone yelled out. That They would be there in a few. A little later someone finally came out to let us get our room. The weird thing is this was at 3 o’clock in the afternoon when most hotels tell you you can check in and there was no one at the desk so that should have been my first clue.. He then informed us of a $40 hold on the card for any incidentals that would be returned upon leaving. We said ok and he gave us our key.. Went upstairs to check our room and there was no Jacuzzi or hot tub so we went back down and waited till he was free again. We then told him that we had booked a room with a hot tub and he said his screen only said we rented a king room. We told him that we booked it where it stated it was a king size room with a hot tub and he said that we booked through a third-party so we had to go through them. I said can we get a refund and he said no we’d have to do that also through the third-party. Then I ask well my husband came in yesterday and your employee confirmed that we had a room with the Jacuzzi And suddenly the employee had no memory of telling my husband we had that room and there was nothing we could do. After arguing for a little bit and realizing we weren’t getting our money back for that night for sure he said he would give us a different room tomorrow with the Jacuzzi. I assume that was the best you could do even though I was not happy but the next day he did give us a room with a Jacuzzi. Unfortunately, the jets on the Jacuzzi we’re not even strong enough to make bubbles in the hot tub much less do anything else. And conveniently that gentleman we had spoke to wasn’t there that day to even get any resolution. On top of it all it was a very dirty room. We couldn’t even use the pool because the ceiling had caved in on the pool so we paid for a room with Jacuzzi and hotel with a pool and got neither. And they’re telling us since we booked through a third-party they had no responsibility in the matter. I believe the third-party and the hotel have it set up so they can blame each other and no one has to take responsibility. This is a very shady way to do business and a horrible way to treat guests. I took pictures of the nasty things that I had seen and the pool area but every time I try to put them on here it kicks me out and I have to start over so I will try again later. I just wanted to have some time away and relax but that didn’t happen. I thought it was convenient how they “couldn’t “ help us but had no problem taking my money. They really didn’t even try to help make us whole , it really feels like they do this knowing most people won’t bother to say anything and just take what they are given, but I don’t think what they did is right and people need to be aware of the dishonesty that was going on here.
