    Amazing stay in best 5star hotel in the area. Cleanliness was spotless, food was good, we liked breakfast buffet. Very beautiful territory with forest, ideal for walk. Only things were missing/ for improvement- the WiFi always was interrupted and fridge/ bar was not available in the room, hence water cannot be offered cold.

    Our stay was great until checkout. My friend and I had a smooth experience throughout, but the receptionist on duty asked us to wait in the lobby for over 20–25 minutes while our room was being checked. Meanwhile, several other guests were allowed to leave without any delay. This made us feel as though we were being treated with unnecessary suspicion, as if we had done something wrong. As Indian guests, we couldn’t help but feel we were being treated differently. Whether that was the intention or not, it left us feeling embarrassed and disappointed. This experience completely changed our impression of what was otherwise a good stay.

    We arrived looking forward to a relaxing family stay and instead faced an extremely stressful booking problem. Four rooms appeared instead of the two we intended to book. We immediately explained the mistake to the manager, ***, showed him the evidence and made clear that we only needed two rooms. What was extraordinary was ***’s attitude. Rather than trying to help, he told us that we should not have booked through Agoda, referred to other problems he claimed the hotel had experienced with Agoda bookings, and was openly dismissive of Agoda. He told us that we should instead have booked directly with the hotel or through ***, which he described as their direct booking partner/contact. As Agoda customers, we found this astonishing. The hotel was happy to accept a reservation originating through Agoda and receive payment for it, yet when something went wrong, we were effectively told that our choice to use Agoda was the problem. We were a family standing at reception facing the prospect of paying twice for our accommodation. There was no goodwill, no practical attempt to help and very little sense of hospitality from ***. If a hotel accepts guests whose reservations come through Agoda, those guests should not be made to feel that they chose the wrong booking platform the moment something goes wrong. Beautiful surroundings cannot compensate for that attitude to guests.
