First of all we were given the wrong room, which was awful btw. The second room seemed better, but the toilet was broken and it was the weekend, so no one there to fix it. The breakfast was a joke. No one took my order, sat for 1/2 hour waiting. Watched a waiter put out a fire in the toaster. Eventually a waiter took our order. 15 minutes later he came back as they had lost our order. By which time we were running late. Eventually he came back with 1 plate and both our orders on in it and put it in the middle of the table. We had no cutlery no side plates and the food was awful.
Explained this at reception, she said that’s terrible, to which I replied “yes it is that’s why I’m telling you”
I booked and paid for through Agoda but the system said I owed £99 the receptionist just said it’s fine the same thing happened to another customer. Not the way to run a business. Won’t be back

Portpatrick Hotel is idyllic sat up on the cliff top. They are a wee bit short staffed but the staff they have are exceptional. You can walk the northern clifftops easily. It is a short steep walk down to town but if you are fit it is not a problem. An easier route is slightly longer. We had a spacious room overlooking the sea. Views are phenomenal. Breakfast is more than ample. All in all we enjoyed our stay here.

Booked a twin room that had no tv or sea view as stated and ended up in a single room which was in very poor condition required updating and a tv with very poor aerial reception. Reception informed and advised aware of issues within room but unable to offer any alternative. as fully booked. My visit sadly adversely impacted by poor room conditions and outdated facilities

Hotel In Desperate need of updating and cleaning, put a request to be near the left due disable mother but couldn’t have put us further away and rooms where nothing like photos on website
