This is a genuine review based on my actual stays at Tribhuvan Palace hotel Shekhpura. I have mentioned my booking IDs below with the last 4 digits masked for privacy, and they can be verified by the hotel/platform if required. I’m quite disappointed with my experience at Tribhuvan Palace, especially because this was my second stay at the hotel. My first booking was from 3 July to 5 July 2026 (Booking ID: ****), and my second booking was from 4 September to 8 September 2026 (Booking ID: ***). Unfortunately, the issues I faced were not limited to one visit—they have been repeated. The biggest concern is the rude and unprofessional behavior of the staff. They were not cooperative, and whenever I raised a genuine concern, instead of helping resolve it, they often responded with excuses. This kind of behavior is not what you expect from a professional hotel. Another recurring issue is the shortage of basic toiletries, especially towels. Even when booking a room for two guests, the hotel often provides only one towel. When you request the second towel, instead of promptly arranging it, the staff start giving excuses related to laundry or availability. Basic amenities like towels should not be treated as an optional facility, particularly when the room is booked for two people. During my previous stay from 3 July to 5 July, there were several additional issues. I had booked the room for three guests and paid the full amount for three guests, but the room provided had only a double bed, which was suitable for two adults. When I raised this concern, instead of providing an appropriate sleeping arrangement, the staff suggested that the third guest sleep on the floor with an extra mattress. This was completely unacceptable considering that I had paid for accommodation for three guests. There were also other serious issues during that stay. The AC was not working properly, which made the stay very uncomfortable. More concerning was a potential electrical safety issue in the bathroom. Due to an apparent electrical problem associated with the geyser/electrical supply, there seemed to be a mild electric shock/current sensation through the toilet taps and shower/water fittings. Even though it was not a severe shock, electricity/current around bathroom water fittings is a serious safety concern and should never be ignored. The housekeeping during that stay was also extremely disappointing. There was vomit/staining on the curtains and walls, and it appeared that the room had not been properly cleaned or the affected curtains replaced/washed before the next guest was allowed to check in. Providing a room in that condition is completely unacceptable from a hygiene and housekeeping perspective. What makes this even more disappointing is that I gave the hotel another chance after my first stay, but unfortunately, the same problems occurred again. A repeat guest should be able to expect at least basic cleanliness, safety, proper amenities, and professional treatment. Overall, the staff attitude, lack of cooperation, repeated shortage of basic amenities, room arrangement, housekeeping standards, and the electrical safety concern need significant improvement. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and actually addresses these issues rather than simply providing excuses.
