I read some other reviews more in depth after my check in process which confirmed some of my own experience. The location of the hotel is not exactly where google maps puts it out the back of the property. I walked the long way round through dark sandy back roads to arrive where the villas are but there’s no staff presence there whatsoever. What they fail to tell you before checking in is that the reception and staff are all at the campground entrance from the road. This would be easily fixed if they had both some clearer signage and they sent you some instructions prior to checking in explaining this. And trying to communicate with them is quite difficult compared to other properties I’ve stayed at but once I got a hold of them it was all sorted and they came to me with the key. Some others mention the dated rooms, this wasn’t the case for me, it was quite nice and almost brand new so depends what kind of room you get I guess.
The hot water is unreliable, it’s likely solar so it’s warm late in the day but cold in the morning.
They seem to still be building much of this property so there’s some construction going on around you and they still seem to be finding their feet. Maybe it will continue to get better. Maybe not. But overall it’s very good value for what it cost.
