Pisces Hotel Hue

We stayed for one night as we were traveling through Hue city. Staff were very welcoming and accommodating. Room was large and spacious, AC worked great (important in July heat!), bed very comfortable. Shower water pressure is not very strong, which made washing my long hair a little lengthy. The hotel is down an alley without car access which means you have to carry your luggage the last 120m from the main road.

The staff were nice and accommodating. Will come back again.

We enjoyed our two nights here with a big clean room and friendly helpful staff on reception. Would definitely stay again👍

I would like to start this review off by stating that I am not one to write harsh reviews. We loved Hue and are disheartened to have our experience dimmed by the service we received. I’ll start off with the positives. We liked the location and the room. There were some great restaurants near by. Where things first began to take a turn was when we were checked into our room. We asked if we could pay for early check in which was denied - no big deal, we understand. We stayed one night, June 18, and temperatures in Hue are well known to reach 36 C and above this time of the year. There was a power out between 9 and 11 pm - 2 hours in our room. During this time, we had no AC, wifi, the bright lights in our room kept flicking on and off (despite being set to off as we were trying to sleep), and there was very loud beeping sounds coming from what I assume is the generator outside. This made sleep impossible and our room quickly became unbearably hot. I understand this is an electricity error on the hotel’s part and we hoped that we could check out a bit later (2pm rather than 12 pm) due to the disruptions but once again, we were denied. They let us know that they would refund us our room instead due to our discomfort and the hotel's issues. However, the next morning they only refunded us 50k and gave us 2 candles rather than the 570k vnd ($30 cad) that we had paid for the night. This was NOT what they promised us over text (attached) and I can’t help but be incredibly dissatisfied by this service. They told us they would not give us the refund and the 50k is what they meant. We can’t help but feel truly lied to by this hotel and I would not recommend travellers to stay here if they want a smooth experience. I would also like to note that this hotel is rather noisy at night as well. I hope they can learn further customer service skills from this experience as I couldn’t imagine $30 being worth the reputation damage that this has caused.
