Would not stay again. I will start with positives, great location, close to the beach with direct access, gave us a free dinner. For negatives, the room does not look like the photos on the website, paint on the wall were peeling off, the toliet was small that I could not close the door as my leg would hit the door, the shower did not look clean, the vanity area was small with no hand towel rails and cannot get any brighter lights. Stayed for 3 nights but they did not refill the facial tissue box and ran out on the 3rd day so I used toliet tissue paper instead for my face. My room was facing the gym door and I can hear the sound of the door closing and opening in the mornings. Overall, the price was good but you get what you paid for and I would not stay at this hotel again.

If I ever come back to Sanya and Dadonghai with the kids, I will go back to this hotel. It has been recently fully renovated and it feels everywhere: interior and exterior look new, no smell, the rooms and welcoming. The hotel is non-smoking and we could not feel the smell anywhere, which is good, considering people still smoking a lot in China. The clientele is mostly Russian-speaking and Chinese. The staff are very friendly, they do their best to communicate. We had no issues at all: reception, restaurant, kids club, pool, cleaning. We had luxury family room and, even though it’s not huge, the design is very functional, very nice shower ( the standard and the rain shower ), the balcony is big. Would benefit from having a small table and another chair in the balcony though. We visited during low season ( sept) so haven’t had any crowds in any of the facilities. Infinity pool was superb, with nice food service from the restaurant on the same floor. They had free floating toys for kids at both pools which is a bonus. I’d suggest them having a stand with pool towels, otherwise you have to ask the room service, but it’s not a bit issue. Kids club had great activities. My only issue was when I wanted to leave my kids there for a couple of hours and to go to the gym and I had to negotiate them to stay ( age 6 and 9). What is the point of kids club if I cannot leave my kids there and enjoy my adult time? This is smth I suggest them to reconsider. Gym was very small and had basic equipment, but enough to exercise if you know what you are doing. Swimming pool on level 3 is a blast, shallow and warm. Both pools actually not very deep, but that’s good since it’s a family hotel. The bubble party was fun! Especially that they had music going on ( some other hotels only do the bubbles- boring). The breakfast had a good variety of Asian and European mix, as well as fresh fruits and pastry. They even had candy floss and popcorn for the kids and a little kids play area where kids can go when they finish eating so adults can calmly enjoy their morning. Also, they thoughtfully give little portions of the candy floss and popcorn! We stayed 5 nights and I probably would want them to have better varieties of food if we stayed longer. Also, there is a free laundry on level 3 with quite a few washing machines and dryers, and a free detergent. So handy! And location is superb: pretty much in the beach, with all the eateries on your step. The pineapple mall a short walk away.

Plus points: great hotel, fantastic location, love the food at Jing Xi 1981. Only negative point is the WiFi, intermittent disruption and sometimes unable to log in even using our own data plan.
