Very nice hotel, staff friendly, you can see they are doing the place up , it takes time , install a new gym last time we where down , breakfast could be better but can’t have everything

I literally only needed a bed for the night, staying less than 8 hours. For that purpose it's fine although the bed mattress is a surprise when you sit down as it's so thin. That said when you lay down it is adequate. The rooms are very tired and worn TVs in both our rooms had problems. However the staff were lovely, helpful and moved me to a room with a working TV no fuss. I have to review 2 rooms so one is 👍 and one 👎, purely as for my purpose although a little noisy in the morning it was fine. However if I had the family for more than an overnight stay perhaps not if you were spending a lot of time there. Although they do have table tennis, bar, restaurant and gym.

It's okay id recommend Just for a stopgap overnight stay wouldn't go two nights. was The swallow Hotel couple years back now it's OX chain of hotels which are very basic . I seen no night porter thru early hours when needed advice and help 3.am. too much faffing about in check in wanting £1 deposit on a card if you damage your room . Breakfast cold and left there no catering table staff when I were there I wouldn't stay here again.
