This place was truly special. Interesting, talkative and helpful staff, and a really fun, friendly (but not rowdy) culture at the bar and restaurant with lovely outdoor seating areas. I ended up meeting locals and expats who took me to other spots and helped make my trip extraordinary. I will definitely stay here again. Dinner menu is good and the lobster tail is SO good. My one negative is that Bay Street is RIGHT there—convenient for getting the bus to town but the road sounds don’t have a very “luxury” vibe. (You cross the road to get to the beach, just steps away from the hotel.) The beach is a bit rough with coral stone underfoot, but gorgeous at sunset. I’ll definitely stay here again. In the future I might spring for a really fancy hotel SOMETIMES, but this absolutely beats one of the generic, mid-range hotels in the downtown hotel strip.
