This is one of the best hostels in Gdansk no exaggerations, the price is good, the stuff are amazing especially the girl at the reception the nicest person i have ever met, free breakfast, 6 minutes walks to the train station, totally recommend

It takes around 7-10 minutes to walk from the train station (and around 20 minutes to the old town area, a good distance from the crowd). It will be better if you are a backpacker or with a lighter luggage as there is no elevator in the building. The hostel is neat and tidy. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Even you have to leave early and cannot have breakfast at the hostel, it is pre-packed. Just tell the receptionist and she can prepare for the takeaway.
If you need any amenities like hairdryer, if you have to borrow it from the reception. It is will be better if you ask that before 9pm.

Room 8 stank. Absolutely reeked of vomit, feet, strong food. Pots of food left in room overnight. Group of men cooked and ate in room despite kitchen next room. When anyone cooked in kitchen, all the stench came in room. Great quantities of opened food stored all over the room and in bedroom lockers. There will be rats all over soon. Someone in room drank heavily and did not wash at all. The stench of body and feet made me so ill. Despite asking to move room the reception woman declined my request. She said they had no other room which was a lie as I saw other people come in after. Only one toilet and shower for all the room and it was filthy with shite all the time. Sitting in kitchen now in the dark as the lights only work if there is movement. Two huge televisions in the tiny dorm which is stupid as too much noise. Man in room from the group of three kept beeping his alarm and phone noises all night until the early hours so could not sleep I told him so many times to stop but he only laughed and continued for the two nights. Also so many stairs to climb. With luggage it's simply too difficult. Never again. It was too awful.
