Very nice weekend stay in a 1 bedroom suite - furniture is a bit tired but very clean and tidy - bed was great. Ensuite bathroom reno has been done and is very good. Proximity to ferry is a plus for a day trip to Auckland CIty.

It's in a great position, quiet, near the water and good view of the bridge. And no traffic or noise, so all good.
But the restaurants are shut, for the foreseeable future, so no food. And nowhere near to buy it from, although there are takeaways on the way to it.
Place was great when I first went ten years ago but now it's a little tired. Carpets and place looks like it could do with a clean or spruce up. Hole in the wall showing the electrical cables; not safe! Everything worked and was good, but mattress was very lumpy and not that great if you have a bad back. The one member of staff we saw in the morning (we arrived late so reception was closed), ignored us even when we said morning! Fire door at the end of the corridor was wedged open; cold and I'm not sure great for security. Car park is falling apart, building rubble in sacks around the outside of the building, looks like it's been there a while.
Room was good, view was good, quiet and no complaints with the room. Good value for Auckland for sure. But the overall feel just says it needs a few bucks spent on it and a little love.
Will I go again? Yes as it's a good price and well located it you want quiet and out the way of noise and traffic. I'm not a city person. If you want swank and luxury, nah. If you want perfectly ok and a good nights sleep, fine. Kitchen and facilities in the room were good, and that's what I care about. Just the mattress let it down a little but not the end of the world. Outside though, would not look out of place in some dodgy cities I've been to!
