    This was a special trip in my life where I took my beloved father and mother to see Lord Jagannath in Puri. We stayed for 2-3 days, though we only stayed for 1 day. The rooms were old-fashioned and in need of refreshment, with a lingering odor of wood inside the bed. No air fresheners were provided. We opted to take our meals outside, as the food at the accommodation was not up to par, especially for my ailing father. On the morning of our departure, the front desk called us sharply at 8 AM to check out by 9 AM without any further delay. This was one of the strictest checkout policies I have encountered in any hotel and I observed that all the guests were lined up at the front desk to check out exactly at 9 AM. The treatment felt harsh and they charged a premium for the stay. While I have no major complaints about their policy, there are certainly better options available in the area. However, the architecture and location of the hotel were excellent.
