    The meals were generous size, drinks a reasonable price. The room was large with plenty of space to be comfortable

    I stayed here for five nights while attending training nearby. At £***, it was good value for money, and the location was ideal for where I needed to be each morning. The staff were friendly and welcoming throughout my stay. Unfortunately, the biggest downside was the quality of sleep. The bed was two single beds pushed together with an uncomfortable join down the middle, and the mattresses offered very little support. There was also a green night light that stayed on all night, which I found quite distracting. As a result, I rarely woke up feeling refreshed. Breakfast was good on three mornings but a little disappointing on the other two. Overall, this is a reasonably priced B&B with pleasant staff and a great location. If the beds were upgraded and the room lighting improved, I would be more than happy to stay here again.

    Nine nights, and very well cared for by friendly and hardworking staff. Very good bus service between Nottingham and Alfreton, and other places from Nottingham. Visit the Castle and the Justice Museum.

    For having breakfast included we did not once get to have breakfast at the Nelson. Due to there was no one there to serve us. we would be up about 8am and had to go and pay for breakfast somewhere else. as well trying to sleep in a room with a bright green light was hard. We would stay again but just hope next time we can try there food and not have a night light would be nice.
