The major USP of this hotel is their rooftop restaurant. The views from there are majestic and in short, indescribable. We can see the Nile, with the feluccas passing by, the front of the Luxor temple and its illuminated glow at the evening, the West Bank mountains and its modest vibrance, and the colorful hot air balloons dotting the West Bank skies right in the morning. The food complements the view perfectly. Now to the rooms. They are old, wooden, squeaky and urgent need of repair. The hotel has NO elevators, so a trip to the rooftop or our rooms on the same level gave us our much needed cardio, with a smidgen of breathlessness. The hotel also provides the package tours which were relatively on the affordable side, but on two instances, had problems with their executions. The entrance of the hotel is in a shabby narrow lane, quite easy to miss. Nefertiti Hotel Luxor is an affordable, conveniently located stay with amazing rooftop views. Recommended if you do not mind the older rooms and the daily dose cardio.

The room is small and there is no elevator. Although the location is very good, next to the Luxor temple, the street outside is so smelly that it is all horse manure
