    The stay was very comfortable. I really loved the surroundings, with lots of trees and greenery. The beach is also very close, and the breakfast was delicious. But the resort is just not as big as I imagined.

    We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful resort. The beach is absolutely stunning, the many swimming pools fantastic, and overall the setting is hard to fault. The service team were also excellent. The WhatsApp service and dedicated concierge worked really well, and whenever we had an issue or request, it was dealt with quickly and professionally. Food including breakfast was exceptional. We also enjoyed room service and the B lounge as well as the bbq buffet all were very good. Pool happy hour also great That said, for the price point, there were a few areas where we felt the experience was lacking a little of the finesse we would expect from a five-star resort. Our villa was beautiful and one of the reasons we chose it was because it included a kitchen. It wasn’t clear when booking that the kitchen couldn’t actually be used. We had no intention of cooking meals, but with children, it would have been really useful to have some basic plates, bowls, cutlery and knives for simple things like a bowl of chips or cereal for early risers. It felt like a missed opportunity, particularly given that the villa is marketed as having a kitchen. The villa layout also presented a challenge for families with young children. Although it is described as one villa, the bedrooms are actually separate and not interconnected. With young children, we didn’t feel comfortable having them sleep in a separate room, particularly as there was an unsecured swimming pool downstairs. In the end, my husband and I had to sleep separately with the children. The individual bedrooms do lock, but the lack of internal connection makes the setup less practical for families. It is a real shame because the villas themselves are beautiful. Housekeeping was another small point. Turn-down service was inconsistent and on several nights didn’t happen unless we specifically requested it. Again, not a major issue, but something we would expect to be more consistent at this level. Check-in was also a little unusual. We were asked to provide a very large deposit if we wanted to charge things to the room, otherwise we had to pay for everything as we went. It wasn’t clear why a credit card couldn’t simply be kept on file, as is common at many other resorts, and having to make separate payments throughout the stay became a little inconvenient, including for small purchases at the kids’ club. We also had one slightly concerning experience at the kids’ club. It was advertised as being open until 7pm, but when we returned one evening, the staff member we had left the children with had changed. There was a young man not wesring a uniform or name tag supervising them who, according to the kids (9 years old), was perfectly pleasant and didn’t bother them at all,. While nothing happened and the children were completely fine, it didn’t feel like the level of attentive supervision we would expect from a five-star kids’ club. Overall, this is a beautiful resort in an incredible location, with genuinely excellent service and a fantastic team. Most of the issues we experienced were relatively small, but at this price point, the little details matter. With a little more consistency and attention to the family-specific aspects of the villa experience, it could be exceptional.

    Unfortunately, our stay was a very disappointing experience. The most serious issue was the cot provided for our eight-month-old son, which came apart while he was asleep in it. We also found that the hotel’s high chairs had no safety straps, raising further concerns about child safety. Beyond this, we experienced repeated problems throughout our stay, including: Air conditioning that did not work properly in our room Our room not being cleaned for more than 24 hours Restaurant food taking up to 60 minutes to arrive Staff frequently being unable to communicate in English Poor cleanliness and a generally tired state of repair Being told we could not take food purchased from a hotel restaurant back to our room The advertised Wagyu beef steak buffet was also particularly misleading. The steak was provided only as a very small tasting portion, approximately the size of a coin, rather than anything resembling a steak buffet. On the positive side, the children’s playroom was excellent and one of the best features of the hotel. It was well equipped, thoughtfully designed and a great space for young children. These are only some of the issues we encountered. It is a shame because the hotel has a good layout, attractive grounds and the potential to be excellent. However, the rooms require renovation, and there need to be significant improvements in maintenance, cleanliness, service standards and child safety. Based on our overall experience, we would not recommend this hotel.
