Truly heaven on Earth, the view of the river and hillside, waking up to the sound of the river flowing and the quaint sound of cowbells, the small village of friendly people and kids running up to say hello. The first time I went, I booked for two nights and stayed ten. This is a place to relax and rebalance, where the mind can slow down and clear thinking and inspiration comes back. The rooms are clean and spacious with great hot water in the shower and huge balconies, the staff members are kind, the food is great and the dining area gorgeous. They offer pick up, drop off, and they'll help with train tickets and kayaking or elephant park visits and everything else imaginable to assure you have a peaceful and wonderful stay. Thanks to Dao, the kind and competent manager for welcoming me like family and having some fun adventures together in the exquisite beauty of the village. 5 star beauty, this resort is a secret gem. I've traveled to 50 countries, stayed in every level of hotel, this is the best imaginable choice for someone who appreciates the beauty of nature and peacefulness, and a unique true local experience of a Laos village! I am eager for my next chance to go back again! Kap chay lai lai!

I like to get out of the city when i go somewhere and Nam Ou resort was perfect. Quiet, scenic and very relaxing.

It’s far away from town and we tried to seek help to get there. They responded to our email 10 hours later at 2am in the morning about supporting us getting there. They read our line message and just ignored the calls for support.
