    Stopped by Kodayama after descending Koyasan! Ryokan is run by an elderly gentleman. He gave me a few slices of persimmon during check in, and when I remarked it was delicious, he promptly offered me 2 more to take home! 🥹 Room is well equipped - came with a large bed, study table, kettle, beverages and a lock. I stayed in the room on the first floor, which made it easy to access the bath room. (If I had to pick a bone, the cleanliness of the bathroom wasn’t the best!) At 9pm, I decided to head out for a walk and the owner hurriedly came back to the ryokan (I think he stays close by, or perhaps stepped out for a moment). Note that the town is extremely quiet - I saw less than 5 vehicles and 2 pedestrians during my 15 minutes walk. I suspect he was worried and hence magically appeared when I was stepping out! Overall a very homely place in a great location (7 minutes from train station) with a lovely owner :)
