Mountainside Inn by Telluride Alpine Lodging

I surprised my boyfriend with a trip to Telluride for his 40th birthday. We were only in town for one night for the gondola, dinner, and an art exhibit. The staff at the front desk was very helpful, though they talked fast - take notes if you're forgetful like me! The facilities looked lovely (though we did not partake) and we loved that the property backed up to the San Miguel River. The gondola was a short walk through a tree covered path that was well-maintained, though bikes did tend to zoom through quickly so put your phone away and don't wear headphones. Parking was easy to navigate to and clearly marked. The town was lovely and we plan to come back in the spring! The room was comfortable enough. I had requested to have a larger bed instead of two twins, but we just pushed the beds together when we arrived. The furniture was not heavy, and we were able to move it easily. There were plenty of towels, the shower was cozy, and we both appreciated the toilet being in a separate room in the bathroom. We utilized the in-room refrigerator and coffee machine for a quick caffeine fuel-up before we left our room on Sunday. The property was fairly quiet. We did not hear any neighbors and only heard a dog bark once after we were awake.
