The place is called Mountain Lake Resort, but also goes by The House @ Zell am See — which was a bit confusing at first. Overall, it’s a really nice apartment. Modern, clean, and comfortable. I liked having a small kitchen with a dishwasher, oven, and cutlery so I could cook. Reception is open from 8am to 8pm, and there’s a drinks fridge where you just write down what you took — I liked that. There’s a washing machine in the lobby that’s free to use if you bring your own soap, and the sauna was great and very relaxing. I didn’t take the breakfast. At €25 per person, it felt too expensive. The staff were friendly and helpful — gave us coffee pods, soap, toilet paper, and even a drying rack when we asked. A few things could’ve been better: the dishwasher didn’t really clean well, one lightbulb was burned out, the trash can pedal was broken, and there was no drying rack in the room at first. Still, despite the small issues, we enjoyed the stay.
