    Stayed here a couple of years ago and was so happy with the stay that we decided to go back. What a mistake! First, there was NO on-site employee. Not when we checked in or out. And not in between. Second the room was dirty, and in desperate need of upgrading overall. No one has cleaned behind the desk in years!!! I looked there trying to find a working electrical outlet because not every electrical outlet in the room was functional. And, the number of outlets overall is insufficient for modern travelers. Lastly, the majority of the rooms were booked by approximately 15 motorcyclists. But not modern motorcycles. These were old-school choppers. LOUD choppers. And the riders over packed themselves into the rooms, some sleeping in sleeping bags on the floor. I think it was an attempt to rent fewer rooms than they really needed. These bikers were smoking and drinking and carrying on until the early morning hours. But since the hotel had no personnel on-site, there was no one to request quiet for those of us trying to sleep. The night at the Torrey Motel was horrible. Avoid it at all costs.
