    The “blanket” on the bed was actually just a duvet cover. I had to ask the staff where the blanket was, and only then did they take the duvet insert out of the wardrobe for me. Nobody explained any of this during check-in. The room didn’t even have electricity when I walked in. The staff told me to wait while they went to turn on the circuit breaker somewhere else before the room had power. The bathroom floor had white stains on it, probably left over from renovation work. The fridge was an old Sanyo fridge and it got mould inside. At around 8 a.m., I was woken up by loud drilling noises coming through the walls. There was basically no check-in process. No signature, no paperwork, nothing. And then at exactly 11:59 a.m., I got a call reminding me to check out. In the end, I think this hotel is just very local. The staff didn’t really speak English, so communication wasn’t easy. Nothing was terrible enough to ruin my trip, but the whole experience was just… weird.
