My friend and I stayed in a twin room for two nights before travelling around Bali. We had booked the last three nights of our holiday in Kuta, but upon seeing that room we cancelled and went back to the lovely Mina Pelasa. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The pool temperature was just right. The rooms were spacious with comfortable beds. My issue with the location was that the road the hotel is on doesn't have footpaths and my friend felt scared walking on the road with the scooters and cars zooming past. Breakfast was obviously made by different people with different skill sets. One morning my hot breakfast was incredible, another morning the same meal was inedible. The coffee was always amazing. We really enjoyed staying here and we felt grateful that the rooms were so affordable.

I read the reviews and saw the score for the Mina Pelasa hotel, throughout my stay I wondered why it rated so high? Photos are deceptive, its a nice pool but small and with only about 20 rooms you would think they would focus on service but not. Had to chase room to be made up, no water replenished however, I saw another room did get it? I was disappointed and really thought staff could learn more focus as some seem indifferent and not focused on customers.
