    We had a fantastic family holiday in Melia Durres with our two children. We stayed there half board but next time we will probably go for the all inclusive option. Staff were excellent, friendly and helpful. The connecting rooms were perfect for a family of four. Indoor and outdoor pools were great although non heated pools outside made it difficult for the kids to stay outdoors for long as it was just not quite hot enough (20 degrees). Regardless of this the kids had plenty of other things to do like football and basketball and the private beach was beautiful too. It is such great value for money we will be going there again soon.

    We booked Melia Durres through Agoda, which advertised the stay as “all inclusive”—but the details weren’t clear. After contacting the hotel, we learned that only breakfast was included, and full all-inclusive access requires a minimum 5-night stay. It would’ve been helpful if that was clarified upfront. The hotel itself is beautiful and ideal for a staycation. It’s quite isolated—perfect for relaxing, but not great if you’re looking for nightlife or restaurants outside the resort. It’s around 45 minutes from the airport. The highlight is the massive pool—reportedly the biggest in the Balkans! There’s a buffet restaurant and two à la carte options, plus plenty of lounging spots by the pool and beach. We did have issues with the AC on our first night—it stopped working and only goes as low as 21°C, which wasn’t cool enough for a comfortable sleep. On the plus side, the hotel has a handy app to view menus, make restaurant bookings, and check out other amenities.

    Everything about Melia was breathtaking Bars/restuarants/ pool areas all across the resort. Staff very helpful and friendly Was beautiful and relaxing It is far out from the centre but worth it if you just want to relax and recharge They have spa facilities, again great staff and amazing experience
